{UAH} Chad cracks down hard on the media

The government of Chad has blocked social media and messaging platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Viber. The blackout comes after a national conference recommended constitutional changes that could extend President Idriss Deby's rule until 2033. Why are some African leaders clinging to power?
